This project will further enrich our knowledge that to what extent our habitual dietary patterns can help prevent or lead us to type 2 diabetes. Geo-mapping technique will help us identify geographical distributions of type 2 diabetes and help locate key intervention regions. Further pathway analysis incorporating all risk factors will aid in identifying key contributors to the development of type 2 diabetes in northern Netherlands and provide valuable insights to lead to better personalized intervention programs with improved cost-effectiveness.
