Head and neck cancer (HNC) is a rare and complex disease. Because of this, guidelines are often based on the conclusions of small underpowered studies. HNC is often caused by an unhealthy lifestyle that includes alcohol abuse and smoking. Little is known about other lifestyle factors besides alcohol consumption and smoking that could play a role in the development of this cancer. The aim of this research is to identify these other lifestyle factors besides smoking and alcohol consumption and investigate the possible association between these different lifestyle factors. This may contribute to a better understanding of HNC and improve guidelines
