Our study aims at describing the strain-level diversity of the gut microbial community of IBD patients. In particular, we are interested in identifying, through metagenomics, genetic variants attributable to stress-induced mutagenesis. We will combine the 1000 IBD cohort with our own cohort of patients already established in Jerusalem to enlarge our sample size and generalize our results.
