This project investigates the impact of occupational exposures on lung cancer in the Netherlands by pooling data from several prospective cohorts. We will estimate lifetime exposures to lung carcinogens using job-exposure matrices and link these data to cancer and mortality records. The study aims to describe the prevalence of exposure to lung carcinogens, quantify their associations with lung cancer incidence and mortality, and predict individual risks. This research will enhance understanding of occupational cancer risks and contribute to improved methodologies for assessing the burden of occupational diseases, particularly among understudied groups.
